Sports Reporters Think Title IX Hurts Men's Sports

A new study by the Center for Sports Journalism helps explain why Title IX receives so much negative attention in the sports pages. Half of the sports reporters surveyed for this study believe that that law hurts men's sports, and another third believe the law should be changed. Not surprisingly, most reporters believe that Title IX is covered fairly by the press.

Thanks to Professor Marie Hardin of the Sports, Media, and Society blog for the link.

Do we have to ask them how many, by a show of hands, believe in evolution?

Wouldn't it be nice if we had reporters who were capable of independent thought and critical analysis of important issues? What the hell would that be like?
