Fresno State looking for new trial
It's not surprising that Fresno State has asked for a new trial in the Lindy Vivas case, but it's till disappointing given the unequivocal message sent by the jury with their $5.85 millions verdict and the apparent concern of the lawmakers in California. Fresno State filed a motion at the end of August seeking a new trial. The school will not release on what grounds they have filed for this new trial saying only, "There will be a right time for (disclosing) that and when that time comes, they will disclose it" (CSU spokeswoman).
